Membership

We love meeting new people! If you are in the Midlands area, come say hello at one of our events or monthly meetings. Monthly meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM, usually in the Columbia Art Center (1217 Taylor St., Columbia, SC). We usually start our meetings with a brief presentation by a guest speaker. If you would like to join us, membership is only $20/year.

Midlands clay offers a couple of workshops each year where we invite an artist to come teach us something new. Workshops are typically 1-2 days on the weekend. Group size is usually small. Participants often bring food to share or go out for a meal with the instructor. We have a great time! Workshops are offered to members first and if they don’t sell out (they usually sell out), they are offered to the clay arts community.

Midlands Clay hosts two sales each year for its members; one in the Spring and one between Thanksgiving and the December Holidays (Holiday Sale). These sales afford members the opportunity to show off their talents and earn a profit. Everyone is invited to attend the sale, but only members are allowed to sell their wares.
